Alistair has over 20 years’ experience in multi discipline building services in Australia and the UK across industrial, residential, commercial and refurbishment projects. His passion for building services and his desire to deliver projects to the highest standard led to the foundation of Datum101 in 2012 where he has built a strong, client focused team that delivers innovative solutions. Alistair retains project level involvement; scheduling resources and undertaking peer review to ensure our designs are delivered on time and to the highest standard. His passion for basic principles has formed the basis of our long history of project success and Alistair ensures that Datum101 is continually driving process improvements.
LEAD ENGINEER, BSc / BEng (Hons) MIEAust
Geoff has over 10 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer across a wide range of projects in the defence, healthcare, commercial, residential and industrial sector. Geoff brings his strong technical focus and desire for innovative solutions to our projects. He also has significant experience in building simulation where he optimises building efficiency. His responsibilities cover technical delivery from concept through to detailed design, preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation and providing technical support during construction. Geoff provides detailed technical input at the highest level while liaising with clients and architects. Geoff has experience as Green Star accredited professional with a wealth of experience in sustainable design.
LEAD ENGINEER, BEng (Hons) MIEAust
Haitham has 15 years’ experience in the design of electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure developments. He has led projects with mixed use nature in different areas including residential, commercial, industrial and transport. Haitham has a thorough approach in achieving a high standard in engineering design. He undertakes detailed cost benefit analysis, performs value engineering and applies the necessary safety and sustainability measures while taking into account the aesthetics of the final product. Haitham has experience as Green Star accredited professional and bring his innovative sustainability solutions to our projects.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER, BEng MIEAust
Paul is Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years’ experience in building services HVAC design across a wide range of projects. His project experience covers residential, industrial and commercial construction as well as fitouts. Paul has a great eye for detail and takes pride in documentation of clear and concise mechanical services designs. Specific skills include Camel (heat load calculation software) and AutoCAD. In addition to his strong mechanical background Paul has an equally impressive record in the field of ESD. He was a key member of the ESD teams on WA’s first GBCA Green star rated building (176 Westralia Plaza) and WA’s first 6 star designed building (Durack 2 Centre).
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, BEng (Hons) MIEAust
Chris is an Electrical Engineer with 10 years’ experience in the building services industry. His project experience includes high-end residential, hotel, commercial, healthcare, sports and education. Chris is responsible for delivering electrical services designs and other electrical consultancy services to clients’ requirements. He always strives to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions.He enjoys an ordered and structured design approach to ensure that projects are delivered within the expected timeframes and to the client’s expectations. Chris’ design skills cover low voltage distribution systems, indoor and outdoor lighting simulations, emergency lighting, telecommunications and structured cabling systems as well as fire detection and emergency warning evacuation systems.
JUNIOR HYDRAULIC & FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER, BEng (Hons) MIEAust
Dennis is a Hydraulic and Fire Protection Engineer with a passion for the construction industry. His project experience includes industrial, residential, commercial, community and hospitality.Dennis completed several internships in the industry prior to graduation as Engineer giving him a very strong foundation and practical knowledge. Dennis enjoys taking on challenges and coming up with the most efficient solution. He is well-versed in the codes and regulations such as Australian Standards, the BCA, Plumbing Technical Notes (PLB) and fire services requirements from the relevant fire and safety authority which is clearly demonstrated in his designs.
ADMIN SUPPORT
Yumi works part time for Datum101 and is highly linked to the success of the team by her behind the scenes efforts.
As well as undertaking most of the office Admin work Yumi finds time to assist with HR and Accounts.
She has also been intrinsic in the company’s transition to Xero accounting software platform which she uses to manage invoicing, bank reconciliation, book keeping and more.
