Description:
Datum101 was appointed to provide the Electrical and Mechanical services design for RUAH Community Services, a 2-storey fitout consisting of approx. 620m2 on ground floor and 190m2 on the first floor, at 255 Hay Street in Subiaco.

There was a previous fitout in the building, and the works involved modifying the existing installation for the new incoming tenant. These works included extending an existing meeting room to create a 14-person boardroom, creation of new quiet rooms and other modifications on the ground floor and the demolition of all existing partitions on the first floor to create new offices, workstations, etc.

Special consideration in design included a new air-conditioning unit for the boardroom, a new Comms rack and all existing ductwork and lighting on level 1 to be stripped out and replaced.

Great care was also given to the coordination of all services in the ceilings, particularly in the plasterboard ceiling areas.
